This is a recording of a LIVE event which took place on 22 December 2020.
Join Luca LIVE for a series of online events dedicated to the food of the regions of Italy. Our next destination is Basilicata.
Basilicata is located in the instep of Italy’s boot and is the crossroads of southern Italy. Sometimes referred to by its ancient name of Lucania it contains the almost mythical cave city of Matera. Recently, Matera has become popular as a film destination used in, among others, The Passion of the Christ (2004) and No Time to Die (2021) but other breathtaking towns are still to discover.
Historically, Basilicata was a poor region which adapted local ingredients to replace more expensive ones in surprising and delicious ways. We will be looking at this as well as cooking up some delicious dishes.
Includes:
– Talk on the Italian region of Basilicata and its food and wine
– Exclusive recipes
